Terms & conditions for all translation projects on Costa Content

 

These terms and conditions apply to all translation services provided by Costa Content. By submitting a document for translation, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.

Accepted File Formats

​

• Office: DOC, DOCX, DOTX, XLS, XLSX, XLTX, PPT, PPTX, POTX

• Text: TXT, RTF

• PDF: PDF

• Spreadsheet: CSV, ODS, XLTX

• eBook: EPUB, MOBI

• Archive: ZIP containing any of the formats listed above

Files such as PNG, JPG, or other formats will be rejected.

Turnaround Time

​

Short translations are completed within 2 business days.
Medium translations are completed within 3 to 5 business days.
Long translations are completed within 7 to 9 business days.

Turnaround times begin once your document is received in an accepted file format, reviewed, and approved. You will be notified if additional information is required before work can begin.

Costa Content reserves the right to cancel any translation project. In the event of cancellation you will receive a full refund immediately.

Confidentiality

​

All documents submitted to Costa Content are treated as confidential. Files are not shared, redistributed, or used for any purpose outside the agreed translation service.

Document Requirements

​

All documents must be clear, readable, and free of corruption or formatting errors that impede translation. Complex formatting such as tables, layered design elements, or custom layouts may not be preserved perfectly in the translated version.

Documents must be written in English or Dutch only.

​

Documents that exceed the purchased word count or do not match the selected translation package will be rejected.

Content Restrictions

​

Costa Content does not accept documents that contain the following:

​

• Sexually explicit material

• Hate speech or discriminatory content

• Content that promotes illegal activity

• Malware, phishing, or deceptive content

• Content intended for scams or financial fraud

Quality and Accuracy

​

Costa Content provides translations to a professional standard. However, translations involving highly technical, legal, or specialized terminology may require clarification or additional context from the client. In such cases, additional time may be required.

Client Responsibility

​

It is the client's responsibility to ensure that:

​

• The submitted document is final and ready for translation

• All names, terms, and references are spelled correctly

• Any requested clarifications are provided promptly

​

Costa Content is not responsible for errors in the source material.

​

Delivery

​

Completed translations will be delivered in the agreed format within the established timeframe. If unforeseen circumstances cause delays, you will be notified as soon as possible.
